Listen Wil..I debated even responding to your post because I know what good you think is being done in that situation... but to me it is wrong and it is why I wont do something like put my son in scouts.
It disturbs me to see Christianity being used like sugar.. its like an additive to make someones life better. The fact that the holy name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ cannot be used in prayer because it might offend someone of a different faith tells me in no uncertain terms that it is wrong and to stay far away.
Christianity to me IS life.Its not something I use to enrich it.
Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of His day by telling them that they searched the scriptures for in them was life eternal and yet they wouldnt come to Him and receive that life.
I see this everyday.. I see it in seeker friendly churches where the cross was taken down because it offends someone ... where the name of Jesus was replaced with "God" for the same reason.. I personally believe this is what Jesus was telling us when He wrote that letter to the "lukewarm" church.. or to the church that left their first love.
