Hi!

I am new to the boards.

I am Morr, 25 years old currently living in Philadelphia, USA. Married with 1 child on the way (little girl due in August).

I am originally from Israel, born to a fairly liberal and secular Jewish family. However, I myself am a Pagan. More specifically, I am an Irish Polytheist with some Kemetic and Kitchen Witchery thrown in (I follow an Irish Pre-Christian structured faith and spirituality, though I also work in some Kemetic beliefs/Deities and Kitchen/Green Witchery elements into it). My husband is a Voodoo Priest.

As a way of serving my ancestors (something very important in my faith), I teach Hebrew at a local Reform Synagogue in our area, and my husband and I are both active within the Jewish community here on various levels.

I have a degree in European History, majoring specifically in Medieval European History -- So I studied a lot of Christian theology (Catholic, mostly).

Other than the spiritual stuff, I love reading and writing. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my husband. I love music, history, art and so much more.

Hope to make some friends here and learn from everyone :)

Namaste Moor and welcome...

Congrats to you both on the little one.

Sounds like you'll have some interesting insights and tidbits to add to many discussions....look forward to hearing more.

Welcome Morr :)

Hi Morr,

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your imminent new arrival. It is interesting that you mix the Jewish and Irish !
I am from Ireland and find our prechristian history fascinating - often incorported into Celtic christianity and Irish catholicism today - but I am not very well up on it. I am trying to learn Irish (Gaelic) again.

regards,

Ardenz

Hi Morr, I echo the sentiments of everyone else, speshly on the wee one, and look forward to your posts :) Welcome!!

Gotta pass on my favorite advice for new parents...

When I was new parent it was with twins...

There are a lot of books but face it, these things don't come with a manual from the manufacturer...

or don't they...

reality is, when the going gets tough you'll do the right thing.

1. Just start with love and add more.

2. It isn't count to ten, it is take ten deep slow breaths.

3. No matter how big the mess, make sure they are safe, then go get a camera and take a picture with them beaming in the middle of it....these pictures are incredibly valuable....for memories, for humor, for your sanity, and for showing dates that come to the door....

Hi Morr and welcome

Mabrook for the baby, I hope you both have an easy birth. I will catch up with you on the boards, I have some questions for you.
