is death a good thing?

geez, soooorry guys! i am sorry for offending the animal lovers. look what i meant to say is that animals don't fear like us humans do. i am going to use a scripture to explain this:
Luke 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. 24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? 25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
now, now, i know this ain't the christian forum, but Christ said it best. animals don't worry about dying of starvation, shelter, or losing one's possessions, yet man kills each other in the most selfish way just to keep on living. now when their life or man's life is in danger then yes, there is fear. that is natural. but you can't compare an animals reaction to fear to a man's. i take it you guys believe that animals know of good and evil like man does? :p

i think animals fear dying as any sane creature does. as for death itself, i think they are aware of it and fear it as anything fears the unknown, yet something tells me they have an instinct which tells them it is not the end. it's just the way they act when being killed, i mean why roll over and except the inevitable, why not fight to the last. also when a new born calf stands up for the first time - it knows it is a calf standing up for its first time, in a way as if it has done it a million times before - which i believe it has.
