    Rel-ai-gion

I'm thinking that you might be misinformed about what AI chatbots do. :D Have you ever heard of AI hallucinations? Praise and validation template? Deceiving users to accomplish a task? Engagement metrics? Supercharged echo chamber? (later) I will try your experiment though.

    Rel-ai-gion

I guess I didn't explain it right, plus I might have misunderstood what you said. I'll come back to it later.

    Rel-ai-gion

I’m a little sad now, because I thought there was some communication happening between us.

    Rel-ai-gion

I won't take you seriously any more when you say that you're against using AI.

    Rel-ai-gion

I'm imagining that as a part of human nature, that there are people who have a natural ability to say things that help us live the best lives we can, so well that it catalyzes a new civilization. The limitations are not in their capacity to express it, but in our capacity to understand. Another...

    AI Chatbots and Spirituality?

If anyone really is all the way out of the mud, it certainly will not be anyone who often posts only to disparage people and what they are saying and doing, and not for any constructive purpose.

    AI Chatbots and Spirituality?

I’m thinking that the disintegration will continue and even get worse for at least three more generations, but the new cycle has already started and anyone who wants to can be part of it. I don’t think that all will be destroyed, some will be transformed. There’s more to healthy living than...

    AI Chatbots and Spirituality?

Oh maybe I see how it might look to you.

    Do we need salvation?

:p I see some asymmetry here. You freely use ancient stories about gods and their families from Hinduism to illustrate your ideas, but then then you pester me about doing the same with gods and their families from some other ancient stories. And don’t try to pretend that those stories you use...

    The Wedding of Jesus

It looks pretty plausible to me.🙂

    AI Chatbots and Spirituality?

Oh. Because my person doesn’t buy into the concept of intellectual property? Maybe I need to clarify. Property is sacred to me, but I disagree with fraudulently calling rapacious and socially destructive monopoly privileges “property.”

    AI Chatbots and Spirituality?

:D Is that to me? Do you see something Marxist in what I said?

    Do we need salvation?

Part of what I think salvation might mean in the Bible is that God fills a person with a desire to serve and obey Him and to learn to live the way He says to live. That would include immersing ourselves in the life and teachings of His Son, with conscious efforts to understand and practice His...

    Do we need salvation?

If you mean the word “God,” I would agree that it is widely used for subjugation, but I think that in our time some other words are used more widely for that purpose and with more damage, for example like “science,” “freedom ,” and “rights.”

    Do we need salvation?

    Psychological subjugation.

    Do we need salvation?

As I said, one way that I think of salvation is as freedom from psychological subjugation, and I don’t think that happens without help from the prophets.
  17. Longfellow

    Do we need salvation?

    That looks right to me.
  18. Longfellow

    Do we need salvation?

I’ve revised or generalized what kind of salvation we need, that’s relevant to the life and teachings of Jesus. It’s freedom from psychological subjugation.

    AI Chatbots and Spirituality?

Maybe. It’s hard to know how much it would interest me without knowing more about what you have in mind. I’l try to explain briefly what my current interests are related to AI chatbots and spirituality. One way that I think of spiritual growth is in a direction of a treasuring and nurturing love...

    AI Chatbots and Spirituality?

I’m never sure how well I’m following you. Yes, I certainly would use something that was stolen from my ancestors. If you’re calling use of other people’s ideas “theft,” my person doesn’t buy into the concept of intellectual property. Does yours? If you mean would I collaborate in some ways...
