The bible is full of prophecies that are already fullfilled , as we all know .

But ,
What are some of the outstanding Bible prophecies that are YET to be fulfilled?
1 Thess. 5:3: "Whenever it is that they are saying: ‘Peace and security!’ then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape."

Rev. 17:16: "The ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot [Babylon the Great] and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire."

Ezek. 38:14-19: "You must say to Gog, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: "Will it not be in that day when my people [spiritual] Israel are dwelling in security that you will know it? And you will certainly come from your place, from the remotest parts of the north, you and many peoples with you . . . " "And it must occur in that day, in the day when Gog comes in upon the soil of Israel," is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, "that my rage will come up into my nose. And in my ardor, in the fire of my fury, I shall have to speak."’"

Dan. 2:44: "The kingdom [set up by God] . . . will crush and put an end to all these [human] kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite."

Ezek. 38:23: "I shall certainly magnify myself and sanctify myself and make myself known before the eyes of many nations; and they will have to know that I am Jehovah."

Rev. 20:1-3: "I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, that he might not mislead the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After these things he must be let loose for a little while."

John 5:28, 29: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."

Rev. 21:3, 4: "I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ‘Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’"

1 Cor. 15:24-28: "Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father . . . But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone."

yes the bible sure is a book of prophecy. :)

Aware that his end is approaching, Satan since 1914 has been stepping up his efforts to mislead "the entire inhabited earth." Always the master deceiver, Satan works behind the scenes, putting on the stage the world’s leaders and trendsetters as role players. (2 Timothy 3:13; 1 John 5:19)

One of his goals is to deceive mankind into thinking that his way of governing can bring them true peace.

By and large, his propaganda has succeeded, for people remain optimistic in spite of mounting evidence that conditions are going from bad to worse.

The apostle Paul foretold that just before this system of things is destroyed, there will be a notable expression of satanic propaganda.
He wrote: "Whenever it is that they are saying: ‘Peace and security!’ then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman."—1 Thessalonians 5:3; Revelation 16:13.

In recent years, politicians have often used the phrase "peace and security" to describe various human schemes.

They even dubbed 1986 the International Year of Peace, although that year did not live up to its name.

Do such efforts by world leaders constitute the complete fulfillment of 1 Thessalonians 5:3, or was Paul referring to a specific event of such dramatic proportions as to claim world attention?

Since Bible prophecies are often fully understood only after they are fulfilled or are in the process of fulfillment, we will have to wait and see.

It is of interest, though, that Paul compared the sudden destruction following the cry of "Peace and security!" to the birth pang of a pregnant woman.

Over a period of about nine months, an expectant mother becomes increasingly aware of the baby that is growing within her. She may be able to hear her baby’s heartbeat or feel its movements in the womb. It may even kick her.

The signs often become more and more pronounced until, one day, she feels a sharp pain, a pang, indicating that the hoped-for event—the baby’s birth—has arrived.

Hence, however the prophesied cry of "Peace and security!" may be fulfilled, it will lead to a sudden, painful, but ultimately blessed event—the destruction of wickedness and the beginning of a new world system.

The trouble is, mee, a number of the prophecies are often seen to be written in retrospect. Take the Book of Daniel, a great example of a text prophesying things already happened.

The trouble with turning to prophecy from Revelation is that it becomes extremely selective, and the JW's have especially turned the interpretation into a denominational issue.

What is especially interesting is how the JW's have changed their views historically. Challenge a JW about that, and they reply that as the scholarship improves, so have the interpretations. But I've never seen a JW able to challenge their own institution on their interpretations - it's just not allowed. You must follow imperfect doctrine as perfect, and fall into the same blind following and artificial constructions that JW's chide other Christian groups for.

...It's Tuesday?

I meant it was the 11th month, 11th day, 11th hour the guns fell silent for WW1. When did WW1 start? Dare I say it, 1914! Which is why I suggested mee's timing for this thread, seeing as JW's have a fixation for this date, which we have seen a bit of evidence of :D hee hee hee

Jehovahs witnesses sure do , thats because it is a very significant date , inline with fullfilled bible prophecy and chronology. and Jehovahs witnesses are very into the truth of the bible and what it teaches:) all of their beliefs are based on the bible .

More than that, Mee, I'd say they're most inventive.

If you are going to pursue this line, I am going to pursue the point of 1914.
It's not in Scripture. Therefore it is a man-made tradition.

Whilst many prophecies are made and recorded in Scripture, some having been fulfilled, and some yet to be fulfilled, the Bible is not a tool to be used for divination, which, it seems to me, is how you are using it.

Thomas
indeed it is not , stick to what the bible really teaches and we cant go wrong.
thats what Jehovahs witnesses like to do.

And the God of the bible is a revealer of secets.

Hail the Messianic King!

In the first year of Babylonian King Belshazzar, Jehovah granted his prophet Daniel a dream and remarkable visions

The prophet first saw four huge beasts. God’s angel identified them as "four kings," thus indicating that they symbolized successive world powers. (Daniel 7:1-8, 17)

Daniel next beheld Jehovah, "the Ancient of Days," sitting gloriously enthroned. Judging the beasts adversely, he took rulership away from them and destroyed the fourth beast.

Lasting rulership over "the peoples, national groups and languages" was then vested in "someone like a son of man." (Daniel 7:9-14) What a wonderful prophecy relating to the enthronement of "the Son of man," Jesus Christ, in the heavens in the year 1914!—Matthew 16:13.

Daniel knew that God is "removing kings and setting up kings." (Daniel 2:21)
With faith in Jehovah, the "Revealer of secrets," the prophet disclosed the meaning of Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of an immense image. Its various parts pointed to the rise and fall of such world powers as Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. God also used Daniel to outline world events down to our time and beyond.—Daniel 2:24-30.

"In the days of those kings," said the prophecy, "the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite." (Daniel 2:44)

When "the appointed times of the nations" ended in 1914, God established the heavenly Kingdom under Christ. (Luke 21:24; Revelation 12:1-5)

By divine power the Messianic Kingdom "stone" was then cut out of the "mountain" of God’s universal sovereignty.

At Armageddon that stone will strike the image and grind it to powder.

As a governmental mountain affecting "the whole earth," the Messianic Kingdom will stand forever.—Daniel 2:35, 45; Revelation 16:14, 16.

its all happening especially in the last days DANIEL 12;4

and Jehovah is the revealer of secrets :) no longer is that book sealed up , true knowledge is abundant

And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant." daniel 12;4

make no mistake about it ,it is all happening in these the last days
:)
