Just heard on the news that Obama has set up [separate] meetings with middle east leaders for June. Quite a few folk here have expressed hope that this single man may hold the key to future hopeful trends in said area.
Have mentioned before how 'roles' , especially political ones, can change a person and how once 'in' the institution one has no choice but to 'play' the 'game' already 'set up'.
Can Obama change this? His honeymoon inauguration, is not as over as Gordon Browns, and this recession may change dynamics politically as it is intertwined economically; what do you see unfold over the year concerning the movement towards world peace dialectics?
The west are not in so such a strong position any more; things are pretty bad but the s**t hasn't hit the fan for the vast majority yet.
