"Fundamentals of all the major religions" !! LMAO! This geometry is everywhere. What would be amazing is if all these major religions actually had some inkling of what it meant. But they do not. Nobody does. Just because religions sometimes funded science, and sometimes persecuted too, does not give them any claim over a geometry that exists with or without religion. The logic of your argument is simply baseless and naive.

And again, I have no axe to grind. I was not attacking you but the videos. I just have a pretty finely tuned bull***t detector. If I see you make another thread and I feel drawn to comment I will be sure to wrap it in soft pink furry cotton for you.
 
Beautiful, yes, and some would argue that all that is Beautiful is a matter of complete subjectivity. `Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.'

I do not believe Beauty is entirely subjective, either that of the Heavens or that of the undersea corals, or of Humanity itself. The ancients valued the Good, the Beautiful and the True and they did not explain the existence of any of these as purely man's own invention.

I am not a theist, nor do I claim to grasp the Mysteries of the Universe - not even in their lesser presentation - but the latter are the subject of my study.

My friend, if they do not interest you, and if you wish to sit and simply stare at the stars and marvel at their Beauty, that is your right and your prerogative. But do NOT presume to tell me that what I believe is "esoteric nonsense."

I too, am interested in these things, but I approach them differently. I may have different assumptions, or starting hypotheses, at this point, but who can say where yours and mind have intersected, currently intersect or may one day again cross paths. Like I said...my comment was about the videos. It is you lot who jumped on me not the other way round. A classic trait of the challenged believer. It would be pathetic if history had not shown it to be so murderous.

If you can't see that, please get yourself to a good headshrink. I'm not pretending that this is anything new ... I sure as hell, have raised hell, on plenty of threads around here.

I don't mind making waves, but I also don't mind acknowledging what an ass I've been. Well, in this case I've certainly been sarcastic, but I think you just don't want to look in the mirror. I'm not going to sit around pretending I have what it is you're after, either. Just what DO you want? What is it that you were hoping to accomplish with your post?

Does it encourage exploration and discussion? Or is not rather like trying to sit one's fat ass so squarely down upon a lit candle as to snuff it right out completely?

You are quick to decide who is a believer.
And what do you think I believe, mr. snap-judgment.

You cannot say, as you do not know what I believe, you have just jumped to conclusions based on limited information, making assertions and assumptions which can backfire and make one "look like the ass".

If you think that the videos are full of crap......fine.
I have no problem with that.
Maybe explain it a bit more clearly though........ you know..........like a civilized human.
I respect your right to your opinion as I do with everyone as that is all we have is a sharing of opinions/speculations.
 
I actually see in shergar many attributes that I share: a skeptical nature and a directness that can be seen as brusque. I would urge everyone here to de-escalate the anger, if only for a moment. The conversation has only just been engaged. Please, let's delve a little further before we hastily condemn one another.
