People fool themselves

I dont agree with the people who say if you do manipulative magic spells, or spells similar to that then bad luck will fall upon the spell caster. I believe if you tell yourself something bad will happen because you did these type of spells then the bad thing will happen. If you tell yourself good things will happen because you did these type of spells then good things will happen.

It is all power of suggestion. Doing black magic is not going to make bad things happen to the spell caster UNLESS the spell caster tells themselves that something bad will happen if they do these type of spells

i think you are separting the act from the doer. i don't feel that can be done. someone who can fool another into believing something for instance, may use the same trickery on himself without knowing, i.e. fool himself that a certain concept is valid or that smoking cigarettes is ok and hence the manipulator is himself the manipulated as that is the stream he lives in, the bully and the victim being the same...not that you're a bully, just an example. you're saying that some supposedly exterior (to you) law of bad luck being returned on yourself being false, which i would agree with, but i feel that there is an inner truth you can't escape as its yourself; this would apply to anyone.

also the very search for power over another, to me indicates fear. i don't feel manipulation is necessary if you live intelligently. that said i'm sure i manipulate to gain an advantage so we are the same in degrees but do you see that the very need to exert influence indicates sorrow?
