Our next Holy Day on which work and school will be suspended is on May 28th a Sunday and is often observed in the early morning hours around 3 or 4 AM as it was the actual time of the passing of Baha'u'llah (Mirza Husayn Ali) in the mansion called "Bahji" which is a few miles north east of Akka. . Baha'u'llah lived from 1817 to 1892. You can see a schemata of the life of Baha'u'llah at

The Holy Day is called the Ascension of Baha'u'llah and refers to the ascension of His Spirit from this earth... or His passing. He was born of a noble family and His father was a vizier in the court of Fat'h Ali Shah...

This year 2017 marks the bicentennial or two hundredth anniversary of His birth in 1817. Special activities are being planned for this occasion.
