Cosmic Accident Theology:





Physical reality is an accident.



God did not design or make physical reality.



God does not directly participate in physical reality.



God is more potent than physical reality.



Individual spirits resulted from fissures in physical reality.



The fissures, although accidental, act as divine portals through which God’s Nature (often referred to as “Light”) “shines” through and helps resolve the accident, gradually (although sometimes in spurts) bringing it back to the pre-accident state.



While the fissures/portals intensify the corrective action, some of God’s Nature resides deep within the accident of physical reality. The accident merely covered over the Divine.

The deeper reality is bound to eventually dissolve the accidental “shell” on its own, although the individual spirits hasten the correction process, the destruction of the shell.

The trinity of CAT is:

Is (Pure Beingness, Isness, I Am That I Am) as the “Father”

This (Subjective Truth emerging in the world, the physical realm, in the form of individuals’ spirits) as “The Holy Spirit”

That (objective reality in the physical realm that nonetheless has some divinity at its inmost core) as the “Son”

(Note the interesting word play, coincidental or not, of the “is” within This. The “Th” can be imagined to be a prefix. The Th prefix can be applied to the root word “at” to make That, indicating a simple location one step further removed, as compared to This, from the oneness of Is.).

Thoughts about Is/Isness or Being/Beingness:
Pure Being (verb form, as in being instead of doing) contains within it Consciousness because one cannot fully “be” without awareness and volition/intention. We choose to be rather than getting lost in doing. And the consciousness is open simultaneously to all aspects of being. It involves an awareness of wholeness/oneness and a choice/intention of wholeness/oneness.

Being or Is requires nonjudgmental, neutral, mind.

God as Being/Beingness or Is/Isness is anthropomorphic because it is an experiential mode that human beings can engage in, but the LEAST anthropomorphic of any concept that humans can relate to/with. It is the most amorphous anthropomorphism possible. It is right on the doorstep of the Unknown or nothingness.
