Could I get a Muslim perspective on the Imam Mahdi, from those familiar with this idea? I don't know much about it, and would like to know what people believe ... both individually, and in the Middle East (or other Muslim countries).

I haven't bothered to Wiki it, but regardless, I'm still curious.
