When my Muslim friends about the prophets of God they say something like: "Jesus, peace be upon him". I was wondering what is actually said and how it is said in Arabic.

I am not sure if I am going to be able to transliterate it into the English format of Arabic, but I will try:

a.s. stands short for: allayhissalam

pbuh stands short for: salla llahu allayhi wasallam.
