I now have two stars under my name. What does that mean? I can only imagine that it is to be regarded as a good and interesting thing but I do not know of this system.

You get a star every time you reach a set number of posts.
<25 posts =1 star
25-99 posts = 2 stars
99-249 posts = 3 stars
...
up to 5 stars. Or something like that. I forge the exact post counts required.
