Why is everyone's life valuable?

Lol... Seriously?? I thought they both were rhetorical...

Q1 of course they were...and of course we both know that proves nothing.

Q2 of course not...again quite the silly question....people have been known to lie.

Now that you've extracted.your pound if flesh can you see why I chuckle at the convenience factor?

There are fewer atheists in prison than on the outside... I suppose.they are all lying? Or do atheists for some reason listen to that still small voice more often than the hypocritical self professed Christians?

Bush claimed G!d told him to goto war with Iraq... That personally disgusted me. Doesn't seem like anything Jesus would say from my understanding...

So your beef is with the science deniers and not about people being religious, I take it? You're not suggesting that we should all abandon the beliefs in supernatural because of those science deniers, are you?
Hell no... 42% of us in america believe in a short earth, a 7 day creation... I shutter at how many of these people are raising children, teaching children, in public office passing laws...yikes.... America is about to reenter the dark ages.

I have no issues whether you believe in peter pan or the flying spaghetti monster...until it affects public policy and idiocracy.

The teachings of Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, the Tao, et Al have much value to me and I don't discount them.

If I had to guess, you had some really bad experiences with some bigoted folks who call themselves 'Christians' and you are still mad at them subconsciously. So you don't want them to be right. You don't want what they call God to exist. Because if believing in that God makes people self-righteous s.o.b., we'll be better off without it. ... Well that was the case for me anyway.
Lol... Barking up the wrong tree...tis christian churches I most often attend and taught Sunday school at for a near a couple decades... Although UU, Judaism, Buddhism, and others definitely have their draw... And anytime I spend with our natives gets me interested in their teachings...

I am more about the practicality of it all... How does this teaching benifit my or others dealings with the challenges and strife in this life. I could care less about conjecture regarding the hereafter and unknowns.

1. OK ... If it is possible for pigeons to follow the geomagnetic filed without knowing that's what they're doing, why is it not possible for us to follow God's signals without knowing?

2. Exactly. So, when someone says I'm a Christian, doesn't necessarily mean he really understands and follows the Christian principles.

Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin ... They all claimed to be an atheist, and did terrible things to humanity ... should I blame "Atheism" for their atrocities? Or should I blame the individual?

So, that's the reason you concluded God doesn't exist?

Well, call me crazy for joining the belief that withstood the test of time (two bloody thousands years! I mean literally, 'bloody'; persecution, religious wars, etc) .
Yeah... Going to war over belief...the cold war against the godless Russians...all the way back to the crusades...and yes those who gladly martyred themselves to the lions with false beliefs like the suicide bombers of today...

All those to me are great reasons to eschew religion altogether... I am embarrassed and horrified about the number of times people have been marched to their death or to massacre others in the name of G!d.

That's you. You choose whatever you like for yourself.

Now, can I decide what I want to believe for myself?

Of course....possible... But not proof of anything...and can't be construed as such...

. Yes, blame atheism....or the devil, whatever you like...same with the folks that killed millions of natives in the Americas...

Again...of course you can... Am I stopping you?

Or am I just pointing out fallacies in your arguments trying to convince me?

Then why do you participate in the "Interfaith" forum? To tell people religions are bad?

What are those fallacies? You really haven't demonstrated them clearly.

Did I ever say I have proof that God exists?

If 10% of those claiming to be Christians followed the teachings of Jesus...we would have quite the different world. (Same with Muslims that followed the words.of the Qur'an)

So again, this is the reason you believe God doesn't exist?

If you consider that a valid question, then we are still.talking around each other....and it is almost 3am...
"All those to me are great reasons to eschew religion altogether... I am embarrassed and horrified about the number of times people have been marched to their death or to massacre others in the name of G!d."

This is what you said, what am I supposed to think?

Did I ever say I have a proof that God exists?

Lol...I don't claim she doesn't exist... I like you and everyone else....don't know.
I'm going to need some help here...

You say you don't have proof... I agree... You claim I say G!d doesn't exist...I state unequivivslly that is not my belief. And then you repeat the same question...

I've only paid for one ticket in the merry go round.

You are supposed.to think I am appalled at genocide in the name of G!d...as I said...

You aren't?

So it's all my fault. Get it. Good night buddy.

Succinctly....religions are like p****s...it is great that you are proud of yours...just don't go waving it in everyone's face and don't try to shove it down anyone's throat.
