Could someone explain to me Matthew 26:14-15 and Matthew 27:3-5? I realize that these passsages are more for Easter than Christmas, but...

Judas wanted to take matters into his own hands. He wanted the Romans out, and expected Jesus to do such or lead such a revolt. But Jesus was moving much too slow, and not in accordance with Judas' concept of how things should be...so Judas attempted to force Jesus' hand, by having the Romans take hold of him (he could have cared less about the Sanhedrin). Only Jesus did not do as Judas desired...Could someone explain to me Matthew 26:14-15 and Matthew 27:3-5? I realize that these passsages are more for Easter than Christmas, but...
