Boston Church closings...parishioners decide, not.

Boston church group shares tough tactics to keep parishes open - Breaking News from New Orleans - Times-Picayune - NOLA.com

Saw last night on the news this is still going on.

Anonymous priests are blessing the wafers and wine and the congregation is serving up their own sermons...

The arch diocese want to sell the buildings and close the doors...

The public complaint is that they are doing this to payoff the lawsuits for the priests they've protected from pedophile complaints over the years.

Obedience to the Church...which raises the question: Is the Church the central hierarchy, or is it the people who make up the Body of Christ?

It is an interesting dichotomy. We know by title the Archdiocese owns the property, but who has paid for it all these years...some gorgeous churches they were trying to close, and in Boston even in our poor economic times we are talking tens of millions in real estate...
