FDA Declares Mercury Amalgam Fillings Safe for All by Mike Adams the Health Ranger
This video from the IAOMT provides direct visual evidence that mercury fillings quite readily produce mercury vapor just by chewing on them:

Any scientific credibility the FDA might have been clinging to in these last few years has now disintegrated with the agency's recent announcement that after reviewing 200 scientific studies, it has concluded mercury fillings are safe for human health!
Case in point: Last year Consumers for Dental Choice (www.ToxicTeeth.org) sued the FDA over the issue of mercury fillings. A court settlement required the FDA to remove from its website statements about mercury fillings being "safe" and, instead, to publish this statement: "Dental amalgams contain mercury, which may have neurotoxic effects on the nervous systems of developing children and fetuses."

That statement stayed on the FDA's website for several months. But that page has now been removed from the FDA's website (http://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/P...), returning no results. The FDA also deleted a "question and answer" page from its website that discussed the health risk of mercury fillings.

Instead, the FDA now posts a press release stating that the levels of mercury "released by dental amalgam fillings are not high enough to cause harm in patients." (http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsr...)

I think big changes are in the air for the pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies and medical field. These changes will not be initiated for the right reasons, as usual, but they are inevitable. An example of this is the recent failure of our automotive sector. Why did it fail ? Because of unions and their health care and insurance costs. This is what will lead to real change.

The early part of this thread, related to vaccine problems is a real one. There is been some good scientific work which links childhood vaccines to autism and this is a shame. It needs to be dealt with soon and with seriousness.

The amalgam issues is also a shame. The video above is credible and shows that this problem should have been dealt with long ago. Mercury amalgams have been around for nearly 150 years, that is why it is so difficult to get rid of them. The dental field is too used to them. But we know that mercury is a serious problem and should not continue wasting time.

On the other hand, the flu vaccine program has been very successful and I believe it is a product that works well. It is especially important for the senior population which is at risk for serious flu and I think children flu vaccines will continue to grow.

Hillary Clinton almost got her head cut off when she went after the pharmaceutical industry, that is how powerful they are. They get top dollar for their products and claim that most of it goes to research and development expenditures. In my opinion their product costs and expenditures are excessive and need to be decreased. The reason they have gotten away with their wasteful spending is because we place such a high value on health care issues. But it has gotten out of control. The only thing that could save their "sweet deal" is if the economy makes a miraculous recovery, unlikely. In any other event, they will be seeing some changes forced on them for cost reduction.

A swine flu vaccine may be a very important product for this coming fall. Lets hope it will be handled with some vision.

An interesting dichotomy here...

Those most insistent that the Gov't get their act together on a swine flu vaccine are the same ones that are saying the Gov't should stay out of health care.....

And those that are most concerned as to the quality and safety of vaccines are those that are screaming for universal health care....

That's what happens when people make simple things unnecessarily complex for the sake of money and power.
These issues (stated in previous posts) will not be satisfactorily addressed until that problem is solved.
