Has anyone studied/contemplated the various earth-diver mythos? (East Asia, Native Americans, etc.) I've been contemplating this for years, and would like to compare my metaphoric contemplations with others. Thanks.

I've mostly studied Native American and Eastern Asian mythos in this respect, but have heard that there is a Hindu account of Vishnu as the cosmic boar Nārāyaṇa in this respect, as well.

I've heard of, haven't studied, remember but haven't delved into. Although when I was in Hawaii and sat in meditation contemplating the birth of the new island, the volcanoe (earth) that gaia is bringing to the surface...I contemplated the stories.

    Hi SG —

In Old Testament Scripture we have darkness moving over the deep, which is then separated to form the higher waters and the lower waters, with the land between the two ... redolent in symbolism ...

In the New Testament, creation is spoken ...

    God bless,

    Thomas
