Does God communicate with us?

You may want to find out more who exactly God is. I did and this is what I have learned: the Creator is not the same being we normally think of as God.
The Creator is mainly engaged with matter, where else the being we think of as God addresses quality of life issues. Neither of the is omnipotent, omnipresent and all the other "omny" we seem to attribute to them. Both communicate by telepathy, so if you want to get in touch you need to learn the language, i.e. telepathy, that enables you to get in direct touch with them.

Faith, the basis for religion, is subjected to the power of suggestion. Debating the existence of God, for example, assumes the existance of God, and draws people to fight for whichever belief is the most emotionally satisfying and in touch with their own lives. If any religious person made it a habit to stand in the mirror everyday, confridently and loudly affirming to themselves "God doesn't exist" and "the Bible is a lie", chose to only read articles that provided rational evidence for the nonexistence of God, and desecrating sacred objects such as the Bible, they will eventually reject their faith because simply suggesting that God doesn't exist on a level that is credible and a level and targets emotional factors within themselves that cause them to reject God.

The opposite is also true. If someone who is athiest prays to God everyday, goes to chruch for guidance, listens to christian music, and visually, auditorially, and kienestically subject themselves their that faith, his emotions will reorient themselves to join the faith. Using common mediums of exchange to communicate these ideas and create a consistent framework around one's mind creates a new faith.

Yes, positive prayer, focused thought, denials, affirmations are all part of new thought...

Thoughts in mind appear in kind, what you focus on becomes a priority in your life, what you think about you bring about...
 
Quimby condemned priests and doctors for causing these error beliefs. He is quoted (Braden: 60) as saying that they “are the foundation of more misery than all other evils, for they have a strong hold on the minds of the people by their deception and cant. They claim all the virtue and wisdom of the nation, and have so deceived the people that their claims are acknowledged in war and peace.”

Luckily science has demonstrated the errors of Quimby's ideas, and reason and logic has done for the rest, as far as the above comment is concerned. Priests and doctors the cause of all ills? Quackery writ large, or maybe the snake from The Jungle Book: 'Believe in me... '

Yes hypnosis is used as a side show... and to increase car sales.... as is NLP... also used from the pulpit... and by pharmaceutical companies and gov'ts...

Since Quimby it (mesmerism in all forms) has found its way into all areas of society...

I like the ad agent who says you know when they have a product that you don't need.... when they spend money, time and effort to sell it to you.

My way to prove God's existence is through logical Physics. We all must know from Cosmology that the universe is composed of matter and that matter cannot cause itself to exist. Hence, the concept of Causality. Since and also by Logic this concept cannot chain back ad infinitum, it is only obvious that the Primal Cause exists. That's the Creator. That's the only thing that has not been caused. In other words, God cannot be part of the chain of causality. God's existence has been proved. Now, to describe the nature of God, the only think we can say for certain is that He is the Creator. Nothing else is possible because God has no image to be described by. (Isa. 46:5; and Deut. 4:15,16
