I just wanted to take a moment to wish my Muslim friends a blessed Ramadan.
I am a Christian, but I have always been impressed with the devotion of faithful Muslims to the fast of Ramadan. We can learn a lot from their persistence.
I imagine this year is one of the more unusual Ramadans in recent history (or maybe in not-so-recent history).
I pray that you all find it a meaningful time...

Salaam.

I agree, I had an Imam tell a story one time, about Ramadan in his childhood. As Ramadan moves through the year oh, it just so happens it was summer and he was in the Middle East tending the fields, opening Gates for irrigation to flood the fields. He spoke of the sun being high and hot and no one around and water everywhere and not a drop to drink. That is if he followed the fast, no one but God to see and no one but him to follow tradition. Dedication and persistence is right!

Wishing a happy Eid al-Fitr 2020 to those who celebrate.

Thanks..
I had a lovely afternoon. As the weather was good, we were able to meet up in our back gardens,
and eat a variety of delicious food. :)

Eid Mubarak!

I was wondering about amount of shopper queuing up yesterday when I was out to get groceries...

The weather was crappy here in Berlin, but as I know my Muslim neighbors, they know how to party regardless :)

When the month of Ramadan begins, the gates of the heaven are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the devils are chained.

Verily, Allah has people He redeems in every day and night of Ramadan, and every servant among them has a supplication that will be answered.
