I just wanted to take a moment to wish my Muslim friends a blessed Ramadan.
I am a Christian, but I have always been impressed with the devotion of faithful Muslims to the fast of Ramadan. We can learn a lot from their persistence.
I imagine this year is one of the more unusual Ramadans in recent history (or maybe in not-so-recent history).
I pray that you all find it a meaningful time...

    Salaam.

Top notch first post. If we had a trophy or something, I'd fill out the paperwoork for your submission to our non-existent committee.

Seriously welcome aboard, there is an intro post someplace.

I agree, I had an Imam tell a story one time, about Ramadan in his childhood. As Ramadan moves through the year oh, it just so happens it was summer and he was in the Middle East tending the fields, opening Gates for irrigation to flood the fields. He spoke of the sun being high and hot and no one around and water everywhere and not a drop to drink. That is if he followed the fast, no one but God to see and no one but him to follow tradition. Dedication and persistence is right!

    Thankyou..
It certainly feels strange .. the Ka'aba going from one extreme [ busy ] to the other.
A lot of people in need all over the world .. a good time for charity.
We're all going to have our Eid in a few weeks, God willing .. it's mostly a family affair :)

    Thanks..
I had a lovely afternoon. As the weather was good, we were able to meet up in our back gardens,
and eat a variety of delicious food. :)

    Eid Mubarak!

I was wondering about amount of shopper queuing up yesterday when I was out to get groceries...

The weather was crappy here in Berlin, but as I know my Muslim neighbors, they know how to party regardless :)
