a figment of your imagination
Came across this website created by former religious folk who have moved on.

In my years I have watched the flow go both ways, nonbelievers to believers, and folks raised in religion who then chose otherwise.

I honor them both, it is their decision

The monks end every one of their seven daily prayer services with the words: "May the divine assistance remain always with us, and with our absent brethren."

It's a real knowledge. It's not wrangling about religion, or philosophising about the existence of a god. It's a personal experience and knowledge, imo

God helps us in this life too -- Christ offers fullness of joy -- but it's our soul that God sees, imo

Thy will not my will, even though you slay me: still will I love thee -- show me the way
