Identity, individuality

But, in the end, both yours and mine are faith statements.
They are not. My belief is based on the finding of science that at the time of 'inflation', the universe contained plasma at high pressure and temperature. Of course, the view is flexible. It can change according to what science finds.
You have a fixed belief. God clicking his fingers for no reason and us, as your book describes it.

He said:
"People hanker after individuality, thinking that it will escape death. That is why we fear death.."
Aupmanyav sticks to what he said. It is not only at the 75 years of age that we start thinking about death. (I am 83+)
We think about it even when we are young. Of pleasure and displeasure of God. Of riches in heaven and torture in God's heaven if we go against what our book or prophet says.

My belief is based on the finding of science..
..so you put your trust in mankind .. that they have "all the answers".
They do not .. science can be used for bad as well as good purpose.

Civilisation is underpinned by law .. is it scientists who have "discovered" that ..
or is it based on something else?
I know where the law derives in Christian/Islamic nations..

..and I believe that Indian law has its roots in those too. ;)

Of course, the view is flexible. It can change according to what science finds..
..anybody would think that science was your religion. ;)

I don't know why you would think that scientists can tell you much about creating
a civilisation (or a universe, for that matter) .. they certainly know about how to destroy one! 😑
