Been watching the reels section lately. OMG.

The emotional manipulation people use to sell stuff, including themselves!

Sad, twinkly piano music...then transitioning into spirit lifting power ballad. Inserting personal tragedy into their thinly veiled pitches?

Ever watch The X Factor or Britain's/America's Got Talent? You'll see the same tricks.

What have people become? And why do these tricks work on people?

I know this is supposed to be kept light, but...come on!🤣

Instagram is the only social media I subscribe to. I don't use FaceB or TikT or any others
 
I use forums and Discord.

I don't like videos very well. They are extremely hard for me to focus on. I'm a reader(and which is why I stick for forums and Discord).
 
I don't do 'threads' on InstaG. It's mostly posts or 'reels' from accounts I follow, and InstaG suggestions. I mostly have it on mute.
