For Sale: Religion!!!

Does it have to be a tug of war? In the East many have several traditions in their lives, depending on the aspect of their life. And...for instance Zen is essentially Buddhism expressed through the lens of Daoism. So there's a little less stress for the modern person...;)

I think what we call intuition may be our mind short-cutting to the wisdom-store of our subconscious. So I think it should be given more credence than it often is when making judgments or decisions. Hence, aside from our limited time to choose, I believe we can soon tell if a particular tradition/faith/path/philosophy is for us, as long as we have investigated authorative sources (texts or people).

ok... so i'm going to quote a song lyric about this :)

"over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind
withering my intuition and leaving opportunities behind."

i concur, Snoopy :)

Quite so. I'm not trubbled by inconsistencies but by the staggering amount of wisdom to explore, like heading out into the ocean and only after set the course. I'm young and probably have a long time to learn, but I'm also impatient and want to understand now. I understand the two go together.

Christian evangelist show in the lobby, that in our western world, religion could often be percieved as a commodity.
I think you are referring to Corporate religion, which is certainly everywhere these days; and yes religion is a commodity; the US is a huge capitalistic cash cow and religion has not escaped its greedy claws.

I think some "visionary" corporate CEO has prolly beat you to it LOL!

Christians MUST stick to basic Christian teachings, principles, lifestyle and put their trust in Christ alone (as He is to be your measuring rod)
