Warning, violencia. Don't watch if easily triggered.
This is/was rather interesting imho:
Too bad I don't have a 3D printer...
We must be aware of the Great Spirit. He/she has a way with words.
Thank you stranger...that resonates
These could go on the Jokes thread, too imho:
I apologize for the lack of :kitty:s.
I'm not a speciesist. This features a dog:
I envy those who live in the LA area because they're in driving distance of Doughnut Man doughnuts:
I feel sorry for Dr. Jeong here:
Should have posted this little bit sooner
The Matrix Trilogy ending: what does it mean?
Strange times. COVID-19. Bitcoin becomes legal tender in El Salvador. Taliban dance to Drake . . .
Some of the OFs might remember either the song or the film featured here:
An interview with Charlie Watts:
He showed the interviewer his "kit" and explained where and why he got it (in case anyone's interested.)
Fact check on that viral YouTube video here.
How many of these anime titles are you familiar with? Do you agree with the list?
Another video from Anime America (Warning! the ladies' vocabulary is a tad - "gutter"):
I had to watch these to "bleach" my brain from a particular interview (I won't mention who was being interview or the subject of said interview, okay?)
I've watched Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, The Wind Rises, and some of the other ones.
Ms. Phyllis, of the three in this list I have seen, I would rank them like this: 1. Grave of the Fireflies 2. Howl's Moving Castle 3. Spirited away. It would be hard for me to imagine anything replacing Grave of the Fireflies as my most beloved anime movie. Yes, it is very heavy but I want to be touched and moved at a deep level by good art, not just made happy.
There is another one in this list that peaked my interest... "The Red Turtle", I believe it was? It seemed to be a slightly different take on the mythology surrounding the "Selkie". These mythological creatures could assume human form and even live among humans for lengthy periods of time. Sort of an embodiment of the female mystique... A quality that is highly alluring but in the end impossible to tame or own. It is simply "other".
Haven't watched all of Robin's other segment yet, but hoping to continue it when I get a little more time this evening.
:kitty:s! You're going to need the subtitles unless you're fluent in Korean (just a "heads up"):
Separate names with a comma.
