Happy Thanksgiving!

Prior to 911, never even had to flash an ID.

Ambassador Bridge from Detroit to Windsor: "Citizen of?" United States. "Time in Canada?" Two weeks. "Destination?" Lemington. "Have a great stay." Thank you.
You are correct, it is such a burden. However about half the time it is still the same. I was with my cousin and her two kids and my two kids and same questions, pass on thru.
Deep frying the "bird" whole, leaves NO FAT.

Got to get the whole fats, er facts....
lol, You gotta send me the proof of that! The bird contains fat to begin with, I'd like to see how it was fried out of it. And why do you end up with less oil in the fryer after you cook it then before, does that oil evaporate?

No fat fried turkey, to go with the calorie free sweet potato pie!

A 3 ½-ounce portion of deep-fried turkey with the skin on contains about 12 grams of fat, compared with 10 grams in a 3 ½-ounce portion of roasted turkey ...(but I wouldn't trust the American Dietetic Association) is that whambulance here yet?

While your in the box I'll make some easy short handed goals. Is hockey popular in England?

Getting there... I wish it was, I could of done so much more with my excuse/waste of a life. Played for a city youth team for a year... But, then moved so yeah... heh. So, Wil, how much food do you stack on your plate?

There is virtually no border between US and Canada for any US or Canadian Citizen.
It must have been a while since you've crossed the border. Canada still welcomes me in, but the US questions me for 15 minutes before letting me back. I would rather cross over for good and never return.

That's because of your shifty freaking eyes man.... Everyone has got it in for the yanks... So they have to be a bit more cautious... As for Canucks... Gotta love um! No one would be going there to cause harm.

-Edit-
OH! And not to mention You're from Detroit right?

I crossed at Niagara Falls/Buffalo about two months ago, had to show ID but that was all.

potatoes, parsnips, brussel sprouts, fruit salad, melon, squash and pumpkin pie....no turkey or ham for me...not in the past couple decades. We played board games and card games the rest of the day. Then laid around the next day as the folks came and set up piano, trumpet, violin, cello, drumset and listened to a four hour jazz session...I's surely thankful.

Some big corps and gov't workers get paid leave in this country. The average in the states is 3 weeks of sick and holiday pay and then half a dozen holidays. Many workers get zero paid days off. Gov't workers get more. But many unions like carpenters, plumbers, electricians, laborers get days off, but they are unpaid holidays. During the industrial revolution in the US the workers continued to vie for more money, the Europeans negotiated more paid holidays. You about double us in days off, as I understand it, and then far surpass us in Gov't bennies, like health care, housing and food....just pay your TV bill and give thanx.

Still haven't paid my tv bill lol....... I know we get more days off... That isn't the "issue" here... The issue here is, you get whatever dates thanksgiving is paid leave.... I have to work on these days... I want paid leave on these days too! That my brother is the issue! I have to go to work while you get to lord it? That ain't right.... :\

What happens when a turkey is dumped into hot peanut oil? It gets hot fast, and the fat liquifies and drains south, before the skin crisps. It continues to drain through the open bottom of the turkey during the cooking, while the juices are locked in to the flesh (water rises and evaporates, condenses and evaporates/condenses over and over again, softening the flesh to tender).

What you are describing is unsaturated fats (good stuff), that has replace saturated fats (bad stuff), AND if the turkey is not put in bottom first...

Gotta know how to cook a turkey...

I know the Canadian National anthem by heart...want to learn? If Canada is so welcoming to you, why don't you stay? Mabye you'd feel better about life. Obviously America doesn't do it for you...

*horn blows*
*ref sends number 17 off for instigation....*
*17th chuckles as he is removed from the ice and watches Wil and Q go at each other*
I'll come back for you 17th, I promise. No soldier is left behind...;)

Come to think of it, I crossed the Ambassador bridge last Tuesday...in uniform and under orders, and still got the third degree. Couldn't search my trunk however, since I was in a pick up truck...

Great prairies spread and lordly rivers flow,
How dear to us thy broad domain,
From East to Western sea!
Thou land of hope for all who toil!
Thou True North strong and free!

Et encore:

O Canada!
Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,

Play puck!!!!
