A Sufi is like an Omnist... he says: "take the marrow, discard the bones".
 
I do not consider it arrogant to say I am very familiar with every tradition available today.
 
In Buddhism Fana is called Nirvana.

In Hinduism it is known as Jivanmukti.

To be fair, Cyrus is probably the initiator of Sufism, called Messiah in the Torah.

Sufism really comes from Zoroaster, and is why Cyrus was so liberal.

If you look at the Avesta and Veda, they share a common root.

Further, through Alexander, it met with the Greek and Egyptian philosophers.

Abraham is from Ur, maybe Sumerian is original?

No matter, message has always been the same.

Is that bad? What else would religion be? What about it is "too mental" and why is it so?

Lol I haven't read much regarding religion... mostly my own ideas. Lol if you check my previous conversation you'll see I used to have a personal religion after my hindu phase. Although I still sort of maintain it, I don't exactly identify with it the way I used to. I realised identifying with any religion created too much of a barrier for me to participate in legit religious dialogue.

The Shaivites agree, as does Rumi.

My feeling in reading your words was that you are attempting to abstract away truth itself, generalizing about something that is already not enough by itself.

That which knows all else is already God.

This Atman is Brahman.

Nirvana is Fana... anatta, jivanmukti...

WIthout division, it is already whole.
 
So what you're saying is that identifying the self with absolute truth is love? Why do you use the term "love". I suppose love for absolute truth is desirable lol. Complete acceptance.
 
Lol the only other place I've encountered that term is in Ishaqzaade... Lol bollywood is meh

Consciously knowing itself is the pure desire which has created existence, that meeting is experienced as love... hence its expression through the likes of Shiva and Kali.

God is Love is a frequent statement of John, the Vedas say Love is Brahman.

I am saying Absolute Truth is you are too.

Mind identifies, it is known by you.
 
Pantheist interpretations are generally the only ones in which I see legitimacy.

For the Sufi, a more correct term is perhaps Monism...

Beloved and lover are still two, it is not yet far enough, the peak is soon.

Certainly, what the Sufi means by Love is closer to Tao...

The Tao Te Ching says "The Tao was before God"

The Nature of God is Love too...

All is Love.
