Your Daily Rant

To Whom it May Concern:

Where the helloandhowdoyyoudo are seven pairs of my socks? They were still in the package that they came in at the store, never been worn. I'm also missing three pair that have been worn and one "sock" (one pair of socks are in the laundry basket waiting to be washed) and I'm currently wearing mismatched socks/"socks".

To Whom it May Concern #2:

Why do you want to "shampoo" my carpeting when the sh!t used seems to cause animals to foam at the mouth? I live with a fooking :kitty:, and I make it perfectly clear about that. Besides, the assistant manager's office is both flea and lice infested, not my apartment. There's one neighbor that "paints" the halls, please deal with him/her first.

Got a "first warning" earlier today by the bint who brings both fleas and lice into the complex.

They were saying that I bring fruit flies into the building (they don't check to see if there's anything in the fresh fruit and vegetables that they bring!) I wish that they would be evicted from their homes! Worse yet, find out that their SOs are cheating on them with the other manager!

Why in the hell do people bid on things listed on eBay if they have no intention of following through with the purchase?

As if that wasn't bad enough, ebay does not allow sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers for any reason... even failure to pay, going so far as to make sellers wait an addition 6 days to recover their listing fees. Yet buyers can leave negative feedback for sellers.... for any reason valid or not, from day one!

Hummm... guess that answers the 1st question.o_O

Second time in less than a week that my toilet overflowed. *facepalmheaddeskwallbuilding* Alas, the water's going to be shut off between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm until Saturday (Caturday) for building repairs/maintenance.

To Whom It May Concern,

I don't want to discuss politics with you, nor do I want to play with your dog. I'm allergic to dogs, plus the less I talk about the upcoming election, the better for everyone involved.

To Whom It May Concern #2,

I don't have to explain to you why I am the way I am. You're not my physician, nor are you a licensed geneticist, and all of my physicians are stumped about my particular case (that's what "Idiopathic" means.) Eating an "all natural" diet won't make any difference, plus not everything that is organic/"all natural" is beneficial to the human body (botulism, salmonella, listeria, polio, rabies, etc., occur naturally, but I don't want them myself.)

Big Brother,

I've told you repeatedly where my apartment complex is, plus there's a hospital within sneezing distance of it. If your caretakers need the directions here, I'll give them to to him/her. If the problem is the :kitty:s, they tend to "lair up" around strangers; the only ones that have to worry are those people allergic to them (can't do anything about that.)

A$$hat,

There's a reason that I didn't go to the party Thursday: doctor's appointments trump parties. Since I have diabetes, I need to take extra care of my feet (neuropathy sucks.) I didn't get back home until roughly 1 pm, and said party was winding down anyway. Besides that, the "Christmas movie marathon" doesn't interest me in any way/shape/form. I'd rather put together a modular :kitty: tree or a complex :kitty: condo than deal with the "regulars" at your movie nights as well as the Christmas movies that you have. Just leave me be, okay?

To Whom It May Concern,

Thank you for letting me know that you're going part-time and that the days that you're going to be in the office are the days that I can't see you due to standing doctor's appointments. It's going to be worse once classes start after Martin Luther King Jr. Day since I'll have only one day free (Friday.) I need to order more crunchies for Tovarish plus the purchases that I made last month were sent to you since you were the one with the legitimate bank account through the agency.

To Whom It May Concern #2,

My toilet's plugged up again and I can't flush it without having the flooding situation again, so shut up about the "aroma" unless you're willing to fix the d@mn thing!

Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine

You,

Thanks for telling me that you're allergic to cats. You're the second caseworker that I'm dealing with that is.

You #2,

How many times do I have to tell the people in the agency that I live with cats? I even begged to have that in my fooking file! Third strike and I'm informing someone about this, especially when said allergy can be fatal to more than the person in question!

Kind of got caught up in all the "Me Too" drama going on in the entertainment biz these days. Seems a model I worked with for all of 10 minutes about 4 years ago is now saying I addressed her inappropriately, made lewd comments about her anatomy and disrespected her religion.

As I recall, it was an ad shoot for an undie manufacturer. I needed the model in question to point the opposite hip in my direction so all I said was, "Be a good Christian Luv and turn the other cheek." Apparently, my words were so traumatizing, it took 4 years to come forward.

Ok fine, perhaps my humor was not appreciated, but get this. When I 1st read the complaint, the name didn't ring a bell. So I looked her up on one of the trade sights I use. Got 2 hits. One being her profile page and the other mine! Turns out, shortly after that shoot, (the 1 and only time I ever worked with her), she left the following comment on my page and I quote. "Mr. _____ is very professional. I was extremely nervous, but he made me feel completely at ease. I hope to have the opportunity of working with him again someday."

Fat chance Luv! The union you complained to takes a dim view of erroneous reports...

What's worse is that her complaint against you will make it that much more difficult for real victims of this sort of BS/MS/PhD to be believed, plus she won't be believed if it really happens to her in the future (The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf, written by/attributed to Aesop.)

Exactly. No doubt she's just trying to catch the latest wave in hopes of garnering enough sympathy to have some work thrown her way, but yeah, all this "Me Too" tends to diminish legitimate claims.

In my case, she didn't file an official grievance or anything, just her response during a group interview when asked about her 1st modeling experience. Wasn't mentioned by name, but given the current climate, inquires were made. That's how the union got involved.

Y'know, in 20 some odd years, this's only my 3rd allegation of impropriety. The 1st was an actress who tried to sue me for rejecting her sexual advances. That's right. Kind of funny actually. This gal offered her feminine charms in exchange for a role in a film I was working on. Well, as Damon Wayans once said, "Homey don't play that!" Turned her down flat and showed her the door. In her complaint, she said that's what she thought was expected of her and that being rejected totally humiliated her! Never made it to trial.

The other was when I was working with NJ in the states. A Korean actress we hired accused both of us for being raciest for casting her as Chinese. She stormed off the set even though we offered to re-write the script, yet still expected to be paid. When that didn't happen, she threatened to file a formal complaint, but never did.

That's just some of the crap that goes on behind the scenes in this business you never hear about.

We have all known our entire lives about the casting couch... I am just waiting for the conversation you described... the conversation about what came first, "I'll do X if you give me the part" or "I'll give you the part if you do X".. it all ain't just one sided.

Didn't really change my outlook on life. Just seriously derailed our business plans and caused a lot of hard feelings between NJ and myself. So, even though we're the best of friends now, it remains an unpleasant memory.
