    Identity, individuality

@we6jbo I think that it is the conclusions derived from such information that is problematic. For example, concluding that Yahweh was one of several gods, and Abrahamic monotheism only started at that point. I don't agree with that at all. I see that periods of ignorance existed, where some...

What else can the oppressed do, other than fight to free themselves from it? God does not like those that start aggression and/or oppress others. Empires that think they have the right to rule over nations 1000's of miles away and ignore international law have little to do with religion.

That's all you want to see .. pointing to evil and blaming religion is only a cop-out.

I have seen evidence of "God interfering".. :) He captures the hearts of men through His messengers, and they in turn have a strong influence on the world. You may not like this influence, but that is something else.

Is life pointless if subjectivism is true ?

I wasn't really referring to being amongst crowds of people.. There has to be a balance .. but that doesn't stop us caring about the plight of others.

Is life pointless if subjectivism is true ?

Welcome to interfaith. :) I think that as long as we are communicating with others, and care about others, then life is not really pointless. Maybe that is why hell exists, if we only think about how we feel.

Are Some People Naturally Nicer Than Others?

Physical and mental health work in conjunction with each other. i.e. you can't have one without the other I say that, because I believe one can come to the wrong conclusions about how physiology could be all that matters.

    Belief, faith and evidence.

:D .. so what about this.. ? Global Positioning Systems (GPS) provide the most direct, everyday example of technology that relies on Einstein’s theory of relativity. Without continuous adjustments for relativistic time dilation, navigation systems would drift by several miles each day. Sorry...

    A Virgin Birth

Yes .. a gentile, refers to a non-believer in the context of Judaism. ..but in the context of Christianity, it has become synonymous for non-Jew. In reality, you either believe in the God of Abraham, or you don't. :)

Looking for thoughtful Muslim dialogue partner

@Craz Same here .. I did a degree in Combined science. I am particularly fascinated by God's omniscience.. i.e. God is aware of the past, present and future of all. How I understand this, is that God is the Creator of the universe (a space-time continuum), and so is outside of it. This means...
