My thought is that it will be interfaith and more positive than negative. I don't want to whitewash the news, but I certainly want to share stories that show interfaith is something that can be achieved and worked toward. At the same time, I'm open to stories that show tensions between faiths, but nothing that straight on says "we'll never succeed at it, so why bother trying to be understanding and tolerant."
A number of the ones you posted are interesting and I think merit inclusion. Perhaps we need to have a general religion category and one category that specifically focuses on interfaith.
I've thought more on this and in looking at the tradition of IO's previous news posts, we will certainly have multiple categories: one of Religion in the News and one of Interfaith in the News.
No religion is not the same as atheism....and secular Sunday assembly... We don't all want a god, but do.want a congregation... http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-41150792
In the military there is often outposts with only one chaplain...and they are trained to be interfaith... But this guy feels it is a new world... https://www.google.com/amp/www.news...ice-members-reject-religious-tolerance-665614

A few months late but just read... https://www.ncronline.org/news/justice/jesuits-return-525-acres-south-dakota-land-rosebud-sioux The church wasn't using it, transfer made s lot of sense. The feds giving it to the church to convert the savages...now evidently separation of church and state was not a clear line in 1880s. (Like the tax free.status today)

The US is getting more interfaith and tanner! White Christians no longer the majority. The headlines like to say minority....which is really a misnomer since they are still the largest group (both whites and Christians) in the states...they are only a minority against everyone else combined. Reminds me of a saying someone spouted in my youth... As long as it is me and G!d we are always in the majority.
