I like to think that they had excellent lives because they were so well respected by the ancient Egyptians and then were mummified after they'd passed away naturally.gram!

I always love Egyptian topics. For myself and my students. I don’t know why but they always go crazy over Egyptian history. One of the few chronological periods they seem to care about.gram!

Happy to remember the name of the program?Just watched a history programme where archeologists uncovered:
Two ports
A canal that was used to float stones up to the pyramid site.
The papyrus of a crew organiser detailing:
What the barges looked likeA town at the foot of the pyramid site to accommodate the builders
How they were built
Built a replica and used it to carry a stone across the river
So much more, so much stuff being uncovered, and interestingly how it was the construction of the pyramids that made Egypt as a leading nation in its day.
Really interesting watching local masons shape a limestone facing stone, which meant getting the front face shear angle as close to NN.N degrees, and doing so with staggering accuracy ... no aliens or alien-tech stone cutting tools required!
