loss of appetite

In the past two weeks I have consumed average

daily diet: Four hot malt drinks, three coffees, two bananas, bowl of soup (either chicken or tomato or vegtable) bowl of whetabix (3 of them) one bottle of lucozade and a pint of fruit juice.

Occasiaonly had a chicken pie or shepherds pie or cumberland pie...

Still doing my walks with the dogs and walks to work... I feel no less tired or weak just not hungry and I feel fine, but it concerns me that my diet has become so low. I'll try your suggestions, thanks!

I have gained a stone and a half since this thread :) I am aiming for status: Beefcake... I set a target and I hope to gain more weight lol. Might not be heavy to some lol but I hope to be 12 and a half stone by the end of this month. (to you yankys: that is like 178llbs I think somwhere near there give or take a couple pounds.)

Maybe we're like ships in the night. I'm 12.9 now and trying to go in the opposite direction to you, to get the old BMI right. Hard work though...

It isn't. Your scales must be even more crap than mine. :p

I lean forward, I get heavier.

I lean back, I get lighter.

Must take up cigarettes...

yeh just remember yu loose 25mg of vitC with every ***. smokers are recommended to take as much as they can - up to 5g if necesary-thats why gorillas eat so much [apes humans and hamsters are the only creatures who do not make their own]; a guy called pauling did research way back; necessary for healing not just skin but all tissue of the body. slippery elm a good nutrituve food [in a powder which lines the stomach], n dont forget the porridge loadsa vitB etc for nerves etc and can set you up for most of the day. the problem with carbs is the sugar high then low so more needed, vicious circle hence the 5 a day fruit n veg as a sensible maxim, only problem is they dont go with a ciggie!

Alex_P, forget about the weight. Just make sure you eat right.

apart from people saying sugar is bad for your teeth... What damage does sugar do?[/quote]

it f** up your blood sugar level which affects all the systems of the body homeostatically speaking, it has nothing of value except honey but even too much of that would rot gnashers;unfortunately all processed foods contain sugar and so addictive as its synonymous with sugar=love in my culture anyway. children given sweets to shut them up! it has to do with the pancreas and insulin levels and is acidic therefore a nono since we should eat about 70% alkaline. it also affects moods as the pancreas is part of the endocrine system working with the stomach called the emotional brain in taoism and we all know about digestion & moods! water is the most under rated food for the body l certainly dont drink enough for optimum health.l knew a guy whose pancreas failed and was on deaths door. he was bitter about the women in his life [starting from his mum of course] and so had lost the sweetness of life; luckily his ex wife took him in to convalence and hes now recovering. again unlike the chinese we do not take enough 'bitters' to balance the system- no l dont mean heavy ale or export!

**** thought you were talking about live r again!

l meant white sugar is bad for you but not for pandas cos they eat it naturally, you get all the sugar from veg and fruit; used to be a veggie except fish but wary of the 'heavy metals' we're imposing. now l eat meat twice a week at most cos my daughter liked it when young [tho my son still a total veg]. then l found out my blood type was 'hunter/gatherer type O which needed meat [tho you can get complete protein if you mix lentils/beans with veg/rice]. now l am trying not to eat with carbs as l do believe that food combining disrupts the digestive process [carbs/sugars start in mouth enzymes, proteins break down in stomach]; theres loads of evidence for it and it certainly seems less heavy and bloated without the ubiquitus tatties [potatoes] with meat and veg. l seriously believe too much meat makes us more aggressive and is a contribution to [bowel] cancer; animals give off fearful chemicals when slaughtered which we then imbibe so l am all for more 'gentler' ways of killing animals; a pretty impossible utopia but organic food is becoming less expensive as more ppl are wising up to the dangers of chemicals.
