How Was Your Week?

To the American delegation: Happy National Brownie Day (it might be belated Happy National Brownie Day now.) Just another reason to enjoy your favourite brownie/s.

Having a great week. Getting a real kick out of watching my future daughter-in-law try to make sense of America's left coast. Even met a celeb and talked about a possible video deal!:D

Gotta go back to my PCP Friday because the phlebologist couldn't draw any blood from me today (she tried both the inside of my elbow and the back of my hand.) My veins kept collapsing and jumping around like a Mexican Jumping Bean. *shakes head*

I've also gained weight (up to 217 lbs., which is close to what I was when I was first diagnosed with diabetes.) *headdesk*

Had a great week. So glad we have my future daughter-in-law in tow. She's been doing her level best at keeping up with the vernacular of the folks in Southern California. The other morning she comes to the breakfast table and says, "Yo- yo- yo- sup bitches?" We about cracked up. She's such a shy and quiet little thing and she said it so tentative and slow. Priceless.

Aussie and the troops left for the airport a few hours ago. Seems like the past couple weeks went by so fast. It was great seeing everyone again. The last time I saw Aussie's son he came up just under my arm. Now he's almost a head taller than me! And that little lady he plans to marry. I couldn't be happier for him. She's really something special. I was feeling a little down after they left, but Aussie sent me a text a little while ago saying his daughter-in-law is already asking if they can come to visit Uncle again next year. Hell, I'll pay for her ticket!;)

Stellar week for me. Didn't get off me great Aussie bum once! Now it's time to get back to work and puts some funds in the kitty.;)

Glad your week was stellar. I had a great week myself! Had my 68 birthday with all the trimmings and needless to say celebrated with my bride of 48 years who, btw was extremely happy about that Black Angus bull purchase I made...;)

I have two new doctor's appointments because my PCP found a couple of new problems.

All of this was because I have to have two fooking teeth pulled! Because I have a very sensitive gag reflex, I have to be put under (I also bite.) I hope that, when my teeth are pulled, I don't wake up in the middle of the procedure again.

LOL...a minty fresh night I wager!:D

Just finished the preparations for tomorrow's presentation for my Queer Migrations class (the presentation is on citizenship.) Please pray for me, especially with all of the new information coming out in the news and the like. *sweatdrop*

You'll do great!

Even with a little freeze, you're still up there undertaking an enormous task. I'm sure your audience appreciated that you were trying to cover something that grows leaps and bounds every hour. That is a good and pertinent video.

Thanks for the update :)

3 days of 60+ weather in the middle of February. You won't hear this Midwesterner complain. Glad I don't live in Maine anymore. 9 feet of snow. Yuck.

this week.... well.... these past few weeks have been some of the most challenging of the past few years for me. it's hard to say where i am in this storm... so i'd guess this is the eye of it. consequently... i'm just trying to be in the moment and positive in my outlook. i'm doing some serious reevaluations of relationship structures and it is that i wish for my life to be. i have, i think, reached the end of putting my efforts into relationships with people that have severe personality disorders if that person isn't willing to do the work to help mitigate their disorder. more than 20 years of that has tried me in ways which i could never have imagined.
