Akashic Records

Have you guys ever heard of the Akashic Records?

I came across when couple of days ago and found “them” interesting, I guess. Though, all the sites I came across speak of it saying that each person-their soul thoughts, perceptions, etc are kept in this record and we need to have some sort of vibrational energy to access and read (read?) the records. I read some on this site “Akashic Records: What are they? How do I access them? How do I read the Akashic Records?” by DestinationDeluxe (Don’t know if/when new members can post links).

Another weird definition included:

The Akashic records are a compendium of all human knowledge that can be accessed on the astral plane. According to Theosophist philosophy, the Akashic records don’t pass judgement or label actions as good or bad; rather, they simply state what has been. Knowledge of this “Book of Life” can influence our views of reality and serve as a tool of self-development.

Have you heard of such a thing before?
If you have (and believe in this) what is your take on it?

The Howling Gateway

The Djinn require a suitable environment to materialize enabling their energies to change. Their bodies radiate energy from the infrared part of the light spectrum. Infrared radiation is restricted to the lower part of the atmosphere. Djinn can be witnessed only in a setting where extreme infra-red light/heat is predominant, like the desert at high noon or a controlled environment such as a ritual chamber flooded with extreme infra-red light.

The Howling Gateway replaces the traditional summoning Circle. The Sahir has no desire to bully, constrain, or admonish these spiritual creatures. As the Sahir works with aspects of their Self, the spiritual creatures are embraced as adherents of the Left Hand Path themselves. A Circle is no longer necessary for protection, the Eawayl Madkhal will act as a portal for the subjective universe of the Sahir to enter into objective reality.

I Ching and Tarot

Over the years I have known quite a few down-to-earth, educated (often highly) people who are attracted to the I ching and to a lesser extent Tarot Cards.

Such things are often regarded as “just a bit of fun” but is there more to it? Any thoughts on this?

Is Wicca pagan-lite?

The idea of nature-based religions has long interested me. At a time of searching, I made a brief investigation of Wicca. At the time, it was the only one that I had heard of.

It was, to be frank, pretty disappointing. I have zero interest in spells and am not overly fond of ritual. Furthermore, much of what I found online seemed to be aimed at teenage girls and young women (no disrespect intended).

I joined an attractive looking forum but found that many of the questions were of the “how do I tell my parents I am a witch?” variety.

So, is Wicca as the title suggests? Has it perhaps evolved into something rather picturesque that is for people not wanting to be bothered by a deeper approach? Or are there some Wiccans out there doing and hopefully writing some good stuff?

Sethian Mysticism

Zosimos of Panopolis is an influential alchemist. He cemented the (completely legendary) tie between alchemy and Egyptian metallurgy, likely inspired the myth of the homonculus, and was one of the first Gnostic alchemists to write about his craft.

I would like to take special note of a specific segment of this text, which I believe to be all important. The excerpt is as follows:

Zosimos said:

I wondered at the boiling water and the men who were burning but remained alive.

And he answered me saying, “The spectacle which you see is at once the entrance and the exit and the process.”

I questioned him further, “What is the nature of the process?”

And he answered saying, “It is the place of the practice called the embalming. Men wishing to obtain virtue enter here and, fleeing the body, become spirits.”

The text several times mentions those who are undergoing an intolerable force. In other words, a force which will kill them. Specific references are made to the 4 elements, 4 phases, and 7 planets, such as another summary of the work further on which explains:

Zosimos said:

And the other said at the same time as the casting out of the lead by all the liquids, “The Work is completed.”

Lead, of course, being a recurring symbol for the physical world, given its association in alchemy with Saturn (even before Zosimos) who rules over death and time.

The rest of the text can elucidate further, but these two fragments are the primary key. They highlight the importance of surrender to God and the letting go of worldly attachments, which Zosimos says in later texts is one singular, continuous process that can be divided into stages.

If everything is alive

Not long ago, I was present when two people were discussing their spiritual beliefs. Although they were very different, they both shared a belief that everything was alive. Rocks, rivers, clouds etc all alive. I believe this is animism, although neither used the term.

It has since struck me, that if everything is alive, surely there is no such thing as death? If we have no death, how do we define “life”? Does it even have a meaning in such beliefs?

Synchronicities

I’m not a deity/god believer. I wasn’t born and raised to believe such. However, I was thinking of synchronicities (meaningful coincidences) I’ve had/been having lately. I had two huge ones and small ones probably every other day. A lot of people associate experiences coming from an outside source or just experiencing “it” as the ball of life itself (definition thereof).

I was wondering if you guys have had any powerful synchronicities (blessings, coincidences, fill in the blank). Where do you (or do you) believe they come from?

Looking forward to hearing you guys’ responses.

A knowing

A knowing and understanding to me is after having a said maybe spiritual experience you get this “I Know this is true” feeling. This i believe is present in all religions where experiences lead to a kind of knowing something is true without needing a beaker to demonstrate it.

Faith is good as well as belief but have you ever had a Knowing that you Know is true insofar if anyone asked you can say yes, I know rather than belief or faith?
