Come on, RJM, you've plowed through impenetrable Taoist texts...
@Tone Bristow-Stagg is there a "key" for getting into the language of the texts? Something like "nightingale = Baha'u'llah" and so on?
Good question Cino. Not that I am aware of. Those that speak Arabic and Persian and are familiar with Persian Mystic poetry, would know some if the meaning.
Baha'u'llah uses nightingales a lot in his writings and associated the singing of nightingale or dove to his revelation.
This is a recent translated poem of Baha’u’llah, it has an amazing story as to how it was revealed.

it has this footnote, that mentions nightingale, but you will see that there is a lot of tradition also take
"Qáf is a legendary high mountain made of emerald that surrounds the world and is the place in which the phoenix (
‘anqá) has made its nest. In mystical literature it refers to the spiritual and divine realm in which human hearts need to abide. In the Persian Hidden Word #1, “the mount” is a translation of the word
Qáf: “The first call of the Beloved is this: O mystic nightingale! Abide not but in the rose-garden of the spirit. O messenger of the Solomon of love! Seek thou no shelter except in the Sheba of the well-beloved, and O immortal phoenix! dwell not save on the mount of faithfulness.”

IMO Jesus did that himself
The obvious question to then pose is, "If Muhammad, the Bab and Baha'u'llah are foretold in the Bible, and Jesus did prepare the way for them, then is it is not then apparent we did not understand what Jesus was offerring?
Consider, I am also from a Christian, from a background of Sunday Shool taught and bred, mother and sisters that are born again and a father and brother that are Athiests.
