Jan Triska passed away at the tender age of 80 after falling from the Charles Bridge in Prague.

"Who?" you ask?

A contemporary of Vaclav Havel, Triska was banned in Czechoslovakia during the latter communist regime, ending up in the United States. He continued acting up until close to the end.

I believe that they took him off life support (he was put on after a full cardiac arrest.) Almost made it to 67 years old.

He's now with two other members of the supergroup "The Travelling Wilburys"(sp?) I wonder if he's jamming with Roy Orbison and George Harrison...

You and I both. Apparently though, reports of his death were a bit premature. Tom Petty is still hanging on at this hour, but is listed in grave condition.

If you're talking about The Traveling Wilburys, they recorded two albums together, albeit with one member "missing": Roy Orbison died in 1988 at the tender age of 52 (his guitar and photograph were in one of the videos that I posted as a tribute.) They didn't do a third because George Harrison passed away before the remaining members could get together again.

Now Dylan and Jeff Lynne are the only ones around except for the percussionist (I don't remember his name...)

That would be Jim Keltner. He's done secessions work for just about everyone. Gee, he must be in his 70's now.

I have only one friend of that size that made it past that age... Makes me somewhat concerned of my girth. Them pounds adds miles of capillaries for the heart to pump through....

Y. A. Tittle passed away at the tender age of 90.

He was a superstar quarterback from 1948-1964, throwing 30 touchdown passes in several consecutive years, seven in one game alone (a record that's been tied, but not broken.) His only MVP award was in the 1963 season.
