Student got punched in the stomach and, as I stepped in to break up the fight, threw up on me.

That's one way to throw up on a teacher without getting in trouble.

In my first teaching job(1986) , I saw two adult students fighting.
When trying to break them up they fell on top of me and smashed my foot. I was laid up for 6 weeks.

It turned out that it was 2 students, it was one student who caught a thief.

Just found this article that  me off royally (it might do the same to anyone else): https://news.yahoo.com/ohio-911-call-taker-suspended-195542417.html

Basically the article talks about a 9-1-1 operator who dismissed a legitimate stroke victim's call for help, and the stroke victim fooking died.

On a much lower  note, To Whom It May Concern:

You're supposed to be the DM ("dungeon master") for a Dungeons and Dragons game. Why did you let the other players walk all over you? I sensed trouble when there were four "min-max"ers at a table with only six people playing (including the DM.)

I have played RPGs with my friends for over fifteen years, and I guess that I'm spoiled by them. Ty would've perma-killed at least three of the characters and America would've made all of them regret their particular choices without killing them!, and I have played some variation of RPG for longer than any of them have been alive (I volunteered at GenCon when it was in Milwaukee.) Oh, and Tovarish would've taught them how to RP, and she's a :kitty:!

My current rant is in the Health subforum, "heads up" thread. It might cause others to go on a rant.

    To Whom It May Concern,

A "mild" case of the "new" coronavirus to one person can be fooking fatal to someone else. There's a legitimate reason to quarantine yourself if you work with people who have underlying/preexisting illnesses or the coworkers live with such people! Listen to the actual experts! To make matters worse, there's a possibility that it can cross species (a pet poodle was found to have traces of the virus in Hong Kong, and I refuse to endanger my :kitty: companions jic!)

To Whom It May Concern #2,

Keep your "snake oil remedies" to yourself. I'll wait until there's a legitimate cure for the current pandemic, especially with an underlying cardiac condition, plus I live in an apartment complex with elderly and disabled neighbors. I do not want to be a vector! And your "homeopathic cure" is more dangerous than the virus.

    To Whom It May Concern,

I got a Panamanian coin two weeks ago, almost three weeks ago.

I was unable to exchange it until today due to a persistent cough (no, it wasn't due to Covid-19.)

There are enough problems associated with the paranoia surrounding the epidemic, including one riot, that I don't want to exacerbate the situation. Hell, my voice was wrecked from roughly Valentines Day until last week Tuesday.

I "quarantined" the coin from the moment I saw it until I handed it to you.

Don't claim that I got it elsewhere and tried to pass it off on you.

    To Whom It May Concern,

So you think that you're going to be "inconvenienced" by the extended Spring Break due to the fooking Covid-19? Just imagine those who have to stay in Milwaukee (or wherever) because there's a fooking travel ban. Oh, and your favourite bar/restaurant is closed 'til further notice? Ban on crowds/close quarters! I'm going to attempt getting some perishable items at a grocery store as well as picking up my new glasses later today.

To Whom It May Concern #2,

So you thought that you'd make a killing on Amazon or some other online sales site by hoarding nonperishable items (in a case in Tennessee, it was TP, a different case elsewhere, the jerk hoarded hand sanitizer.) Certain people need these nonperishable items, especially those who are self-quarantined. It is worse for families who are stuck in the same house due to all of the closures!

To Whom It May Concern #3,

I don't know if your doctor's office is open. Hell, I don't know if my standing doctor's appointment is going to be canceled on Tuesday for the same reason. Just call to see if your doctor's office is open later today (that's what I'm going to do if my doctor doesn't call me first!) Use your head for something other than a hat rack!

    To Whom It May Concern,

No, I do not want to watch Hangover. I don't find the premise (if there is a premise) even mildly interesting/amusing. Besides, there's a mandatory separation order due to the covid-19 illness going around. Most of us are in one or both the vulnerable groups. Grow. Up.

To Whom It May Concern #2,

The vending machines aren't change machines. There are three stores open that have customer service desks that might be able/willing to exchange your cash for quarters. The fact that you're completely covering yourself more than an "orthodox" Muslim woman is kinda creeping me out a bit, too.

To Whom It May Concern #3,

Don't you know how to wash/rinse dishes? It took me three minutes to get the dish soap out of what I needed to use for cooking/eating. That's unacceptable!

    To Whom It May Concern,

There is a standing rule about going around in your bathrobe in public spaces. Hell, it has been in place since two apartment managers ago. Clothes can be worn more than once between washes unless something occurs with/in them. If you cannot wait, you can wash them by hand in between.

To Whom It May Concern #2,

Vending machines aren't change machines. This has been brought up several times in community meetings. Just because said meetings have been stopped due to Covid-19 doesn't mean that all of the community rules have been lifted!

To Whom It May Concern #3,

Just because movie night has been canceled during the pandemic doesn't give you the right to throw a tantrum. Ditto other events that you look forward to every week or every year. Grow The Fook Up! You have pretty much everyone's phone number if you're that worried about them!

    People ask, how ya doin?

Well....Talking to a friend who survived the blitz, she was in London and the buzzbombs came every few nights. Her mom got tuberculosis and she was sent to live with her aunt n uncle in the country and every night had to sleep in a hole in the ground under a corrugated sheet in the back yard with the worms and bugs...till her dad (in service) then took her back to the city to live with another aunt. They moved the iron bed frame to the ground floor and every night slept under that. Until a bomb took out the end rowhouse and the block fell. She and her aunt were rescued under a pile of bricks, safely under the bed....the next day. That only lasted 20 months for them...

    I don't think I can complain...

What the hell is going on with my cardiac medication?

I'm completely out of it (have been since Thursday.)

    To Whom It May Concern,

Because you piled everything willy-nilly, a cut glass vase just shattered after I put away a Passover pot (I used said pot for meat, which I eat only once a year for roughly a week.)

I'm not sure if I can get a similar vase anymore, plus it was an antique!

I hope that none of my flatmates ends up with glass shards in one of their pads, or you're paying the vet bill!

    To Whom It May Concern,

The public transportation system has been limiting the amount of people on the buses for at least two weeks, plus the PtBs have suspended the fares for even longer. They also have had passengers enter and exit the buses from the rear door unless the passenger has to use the ramp device for legitimate reasons.

You have been warned about your penchant for "dumpster diving" before, and your buddies alone fulfill the ten passenger limit.

You guys can fooking walk for all I care.

Oh, and the drivers want passengers who are going to and from legitimate destinations for legitimate reasons.
