Confused: Your grandchild or someone else's?
Someone else's. I cannot have children, much less grandchildren. I live in an ADA-compliant apartment complex with a mix of elderly and "disabled", and some of the latter have conditions that make them more susceptible to COVID (diabetes, cardiac conditions, strokes, cancer, etc.) Some of the others remember when Stalin and Eisenhower were in power/office!

Stop throwing breakable items when you're involved in an argument. Someone's going to get hurt who might not be involved.

Public spaces are not loos, for humans nor nonhumans. You were caught on security cameras dropping trousers and leaving a pile on the carpeting. Not only is it unsanitary, there are kids that can see what you look like! I can't wait until you're evicted!

Not yet. I have to undergo a new eye exam due to the previous exam "lapsing" (I'm going to coordinate between the surgeon and my caseworker so everyone's on the same page.) The whole thing's a PitA...

You have several preexisting conditions that make you vulnerable to severe COVID side effects. You are also older than me. Why haven't you gotten your first vaccine dose?
If you're afraid, look away from what the VNA nurse is doing, plus have something to listen to like an mp3 player or something. You don't need me to hold your hand, plus I have a doctor's appointment where I need to get blood drawn! If you have trouble with just one, just picture two shots plus the blood draw! There's a d@mn good reason I watch. (I become combative if I don't!)

I wish I had known the Shingles shot was available. I obtained my dose of the problem just before the new year ( Dec 2020) and I'm still suffering a bit.
Plus I had my covid booster last week and joy of joys the few remaining blotches of rash felt the need take exception.
I'll say this regarding shingles for any jabberwockies out there. Get the injection, unless your idea of fun is experiencing both internal pains and itchy skin, which if you are tempted to scratch can turn infectious.
Oh, wait, I suppose there are some out there that'll think that's exactly what they like.

As I said, mine have lasted nearly a year (though mostly mild for the last six months). As you can see from the NHS site, if you get it in a visible area (and regardless, given the people you may put at risk) you'll probably be treated like a leper for a few months too. Not to mention the danger you'll be to those nearest and dearest.

Do all of your kids have the exact same allergy that prevents them from getting any of the vaccines? I mean, I can kinda understand not getting the COVID-19 vaccine, but the MMR vaccine? DPT? Polio? I'm staying as far away as is humanly possible while still being in Milwaukee County! (The kids haven't had any of the childhood vaccinations!)

I have a relative who is allergic to silicon, and they can't get any vaccines.
I often stay away from this thread...it saddens me, it fogs my rose colored glasses.
Phyllis I hope there are dozens of occurrences each day which make you laugh, smile and feel grateful to offset each and every TWIMC.

Here, parents make it a point to have children vaccinated for all diseases. No allergies in my family and very few among those whom I know. Every one has had double vaccination for Covid, except my youngest grandson who is 10 year old. Can't help it. They do not have any vax for kids.
