"Word of God" v Opinion

suppose it is natural to compare G-d with some sort of creature .. it's all about perspective.

Today's Latin word Lesson:

Criatura

Criatura | Spanish to English Translation - SpanishDict
https://www.spanishdict.com/translate/criatura

1 creature. las criaturas de Dios - God's creatures. el hombre es una de las criaturas de Dios - Man is one of God's creations.
2 child. todavía es una criatura - he's only or still a child.

Theo
What does Theo mean in Greek?
From Latin theo- (“god”), combining form of theos (“god”);
from Ancient Greek θεό- (theó-, “god”), combining form of θεός (theós, “god”).

Ergo, A-Theo = No-God.

which leaves you the 12 thousand things and this:

Taegeuk (
Korean: 태극; Hanja: 太極, Korean pronunciation: [tʰɛgɯk̚]) is a traditional Korean symbol. The word is cognate with the Chinese term Taiji (old spelling "Taichi"), meaning "supreme ultimate".[1][2] The symbol was chosen for the design of the national flagin the 1880s, known as taegeukgi (Hangul: 태극기, with gi meaning "flag").[3] The Taegeuk is commonly associated with Korean tradition and represents balance in the universe: the red half represents positive cosmic forces, and the blue half represents the opposing negative cosmic forces. It is used in Korean Shamanism, Confucianism, Daoism and Buddhism.

Or,

If one is aware of the Three-Gunas of Hindu metaphysics:
Sam-Taegeuk.jpg

There are three gunas, according to this worldview, that have always been and continue to be present in all things and beings in the world. These three gunas are called: sattva (goodness, constructive, harmonious), rajas (passion, active, confused), and tamas (darkness, destructive, chaotic).

Very relieved that I need not achieve a pass mark on the above lesson

No. Ultimately it is all about wu wei, effortlessness..

Why don't you speak English? :)
I could throw Arabic words around that you probably wouldn't understand .. I don't see how that has a lot to do with dialogue with an English Muslim.

I lived in HongKong for 4 years when I was younger. I am very wary of Chinese society.
Eating snakes and dogs, gambling, heavy drinking and chopper-fights.
You are welcome :)

We all need motivation .. what reason do we have to get up in the morning? (excluding the obvious of earning our living)

I used the word/expression, wu wei, followed by its perfectly intelligible English alternative. I'm sorry if you find this difficult to follow.

Really, your middle section of the above quoted post is on the borderline of being racist.

I explained perfectly clearly regarding "motivation". It is initiated by reliance upon the original gift of grace.

I shall now correct your comprehension of the English idiom.

"Atheism is contrasted with theism.
Theism is the belief that at least one deity exists"

Ergo, Atheism [non-theism] s the belief that NOT EVEN ONE deity exists.
Nowhere in that statement is any indication that G!d is a person. One can believe G!d as a being, a spirit, a trinity, most anything (except a flying spaghetti monster) and be a theist.

Your tone and arrogance in this matter is off putting.

It wasn't intended to be..
It seems that many HonKongers prefer English Administration to the Chinese one they have now got.
When I was there, many Chinese people were "shot out of the water" trying to cross from mainland China.
It was forbidden to leave o_O

I would say that there are many borders with problems, most notable currently Mexico/USA, and Africa/Europe. With regards to the latter, we in the UK are not entirely innocent.

being, a spirit, a trinity, most anything
What is a being?
What is a spirit?
What is a trinity?
What is a thing?

One can believe ... anything

Yes, especially since we are in the age of We can believe anything we want.

A rose is a rose by any other name ---except Non-roses.

The auto-mechanic's diagnosis was:
I don't know what is wrong but you can believe anything you want after you pay me.

What is a being?
What is a spirit?
What is a trinity?
What is a thing?
Not necessarily a person in all cases.

You seem to be avoiding the point of yours that I am contending.
This means you are an Atheist.
This is the nucleus of Atheist concepts.

If you are an Atheist you proclaim "GOD is not a person"
Again, I believe the nucleus of atheism is G!d does not exist in any form.

Many if not most theists on this board do not see G!d as a person. (The ability to " appear" as a person...is a different discussion)

I believe the nucleus of atheism is G!d does not exist in any form.
Well argued.

Thus my contention (lest I say contentious) reply is that I, being from the other camp, feel that the term
Theism has been culturally appropriated by the current class of coffee house philosophizers.

Theo meant God in Roman Latin and Greek.
so if I google any Roman and Greek "God" ... which one of the Roman and Greek "God(s)" is NOT a person?*

Long before God and spoke the word
and stirred the waters below ---
There was Only God,
where nothing else could contemplate the word,
'anthropomorphism'

*Excludes Ghosts unless born that way or those cursed to live without their personhood [LOL I don't mean eunuchs**].

**Yes, IMO eunuchs are persons too. Some very famous.

Please no, not here, not like this, nothing good will come out of this engagement.
Just call him on his bs and move on. someone ill informed can defend their position indefinitely.

Much the same conclusion.

Just back from a 40th Birthday party, our little granddaughter, just 5, made great friends with another little lass, of another ethnic/racial group. Playing together, totally unselfconsciously. Maybe just the innocence of youth. But just maybe our young will be asking questions that we have never asked. Receiving answers we have never heard. All to the good.

Myself, I think the age of "holy books" is over.

so which evolutionary version of man does G!d look like? An early one?

Size
God is Everyone's countless concepts of God embodied into one Supreme Personality of Godhead "etc etc etc"

God embodies the source of Supreme Love*.
We are Lovettes*.
Each Lovette* is 1/10.000th the size of the tip of a hair.

*Lovette aka Soul.

If God is Love ... Love is Personal.

Lol, so which evolutionary version of man does G!d look like? An early one? The current one? Or some future one?

It begins perfect.
It ends broken.

There was a golden age when men could talk to the celestial Aristocrats, when the demigods were young.

We are all living in "Maya".

The golden age was long long long time ago and keeps getting older, much much older.

We are all living in the material world aka "Maya".

Self-Realisation = Enlightenment ---but it gets conflated with the term,
self-actualization.

We are each a "self", individual and indivisable, a unique own "self".

God is the Supreme Self.

The Self returns to their original state serving Godhead. The seeker will have cultivated
the pre-requisite etiquette and provenance required to obtain the audience of God.

So you believe in a reverse evolution, that neanderthals or some other age were more intelligent, more in his image than us? And maybe the collective sins of our ancestors have devolutioned us? Am I interpreting this correctly?

That's what Cortez said to his men about them Aztec Indians.

There were no such stone age.

Just geographical places devoid of trade with the known world.

Cave paintings??? ---More like bandit hide out or summer hunting lodges!!!

Pharaohs in Egypt??? ---More like fabulous Vegas of yore!!!

Can you imagine a Vietnam during 5000 BC?

Cooking rice was an ancient tradition in Vietnam during 5000 BC.

Did the Romans and Greeks think they derived from cave men?

Do Native Americans think that?

Even Australian Aboriginals can relate to being stranded on a Island for epochs.
